6551 Account for POLYROBs home

Works with

A 6551 account is built from open standards. No part of it is a private format.

The standards, in plain words

  • ERC-721. The normal NFT standard. Wallets and marketplaces already know it.
  • ERC-6551. "An NFT that owns a wallet." The wallet is a copy of Tokenbound's AccountV3, a widely used account design. It cannot be changed or upgraded.
  • ERC-8004. A public registry of AI agents. Every account registers its own identity at mint (if the registry does not answer, the mint still completes, and the owner can register later). Any app that reads the registry can find it.
  • ERC-1271. The owner's key can sign messages for the wallet, so apps that ask a wallet to sign can work with it.
  • ERC-2981, ERC-4906, ERC-7496. Royalty info, "the data changed" signals, and the lock shown as a trait, for marketplaces.

Any agent

An agent uses a 6551 account by owning the NFT. That is the only rule.

So any agent with its own address can use one: POLYROB, a script, a bot built on another framework.

It needs to do two things: send a transaction, and call the wallet's execute function.

There is no plug-in for other agent frameworks yet. A developer can add support with a few calls.

Your own wallet

You need no special app. Any wallet that can call a contract can use a 6551 account.

This site has buttons for the common actions: put in, take out, clear approvals, lock, send.

Marketplaces

OpenSea supports this chain. A sale there works when the wallet is locked first (this was tested with OpenSea's own sale contract on a copy of the chain).

Marketplaces do not show what is inside the wallet. Check it on this site before you buy.

The data

  • The NFT's data (name, face record, traits, lock) is written by the contract itself, on the chain.
  • The picture is a PNG on IPFS and Arweave. Its fingerprint is on the chain, so anyone can check it.
  • The face engine is stored on the chain too, so a face can always be drawn again from chain data.

What does not work (yet)

  • Other chains. The wallet works on one chain only (chain id 4663). Coins sent to the same address on another chain are lost.
  • Tokenbound's own site does not show these wallets on this chain. Use this site or any wallet.
  • Agent explorers such as 8004scan do not list this chain yet.
  • Most wallet apps do not show "this NFT owns a wallet". The wallet still works.
