Many projects put AI agents on a chain. They answer three questions in different ways.
- Who controls the agent's wallet?
- Does the wallet move when you sell or give the agent away?
- Can you see what the agent did?
Side by side
| 6551 Account for POLYROBs | The NFT owner controls the wallet. An agent controls it by owning the NFT. The wallet moves with the NFT. The agent signs a journal that the wallet stores on the chain. |
| Agent launchpads (for example Virtuals) | The creator runs the agent. People hold a token of the agent, not the agent's wallet. You cannot take the agent and its wallet as one item. |
| Agent frameworks (for example ElizaOS) | Open code you run. The agent's wallet is a key that the operator holds. Nothing moves with a sale, because there is no item to sell. |
| Agent services (for example Olas) | The service is an NFT, but its wallet is a multisig with its own signers. After a transfer, the signers must be changed in a separate step. |
| Wallet kits (for example Coinbase AgentKit) | A person gives an agent a spending limit. The agent never owns anything. |
| Intelligent NFTs (ERC-7857) | The agent's model and memory move with the NFT. The standard has no wallet per NFT. |
| Other wallet NFTs on this chain | An NFT with a wallet, sometimes with an outside bot. We found no sale lock and no on-chain journal. |
What is different here
- Three parts in every token, from the first block: its wallet, its agent identity (owned by the wallet), and a journal that the wallet writes. Each part exists in other projects. We found none that puts the three together.
- One rule for control. Own the NFT, control the wallet. No grants, no second keys, no separate signers.
- Safe sales built into the token. A marketplace sale needs the wallet locked for 7 days or less, so the owner cannot take anything out during the sale.
- An open agent you run yourself. POLYROB is open source, with crypto tools in its core. Money moves wait for your approval unless you set limits.
What is not better
- Nothing is live yet. The projects above are live.
- One chain. Others work on many chains.
- The agent does not travel. The wallet and its contents move with the NFT. The agent's software, memory and skills stay with the seller. A buyer runs their own agent.
- The journal is signed, not judged. It proves who wrote each line. It does not prove the agent made good choices.
- A small community. POLYROB is young. Larger frameworks have many more users.
- Not first. Other projects had wallet NFTs and agent identities before us.
